Camp Information/Dates:

- Open to children ENTERING Kindergarten – 6th Grade

- June 23 – July 25, 2025, at Veteran’s Memorial Park! (No Camp July 4)
- Camp Hours: 9am–12pm (M-F)

Resident Registration (River Edge Only) $420 - May 9 - June 1

The River Edge Recreation Department is now accepting applications for the 2025 Summer Playground Program!
If you're looking for a fun and rewarding summer job, this is your chance!

• Program Dates: June 23 – July 25, 2025
• Hours: 9 AM – 12 PM (Staff Hours 8:30am-12:30pm)
• Positions Available: Counselors, Unit Leaders, Office Manager, Assistant Director, Director & CIT's!
• Counselors must be 16+ years of age
• CIT's must be 14-15 years of age

*All previously employed and new applicants must complete the application & interview process in its entirety.*

One of the largest and longest running programs from the recreation department is the summer playground program.  This decades long program is a highlight of the summer for borough kids for generations.  The camp is run by the recreation department and runs in July from 9:00am – 12:00pm on weekdays.  The camp employs dozens of borough students as counselors making it a great way for teenagers to make some money over the summer as well.  the camp runs different programs like a petting zoo, Olympics, street hockey, arts and crafts, as well as field trips to trampoline parks and bowling.

The River Edge Summer Playground Program is a beloved seasonal initiative that provides a fun and engaging environment for children during the summer months.
